I recently purchased the DV-Grip, which suspends the portable
dvd player between the two front seat of my van, and I love, love, love it. It
works just like they say on their website, and it is so easy to put in/out. Takes
one hand and 2 seconds to take install or remove. I didn't want the kind that
attached to the headrest because my little guy thinks it's fun to kick it, and
also I had to have two for both kids to see. So, if you are looking for a way
to mount your portable dvd player in the car, I would recommend giving this a
try.

I just received my DV-Grip today. Actually I've been waiting
like a little kid for this thing anticipating its arrival. Being a fabricator
for many years as soon as I took it out of the box and tried it out in my Chevy
Silverado I was highly impressed with it's construction and simplicity of design.
That little voice went off in my head "Why didn't I think of this"?
It appears to be very well made, not some cheesy piece of junk from overseas.
Another example of good old Yankee ingenuity. I think we'll just have to take
our three year old son out for a test ride to get his seal of approval; if it
keeps him happy on those two hour rides to grandma's house it will be worth every
penny. Thanks for a great product—you've got my thumbs up on this one,
good job.

We have been using and appreciating the DV Grip IR. It's a terrific
invention. It has definitely made watching the DVD player in the car so much
easier. It installs easily and very quickly and we have had absolutely zero trouble
with it. The infrared headphones are excellent and we are very glad we got that
upgrade. It's very comfortable and easy for the kids to watch and control individual
volume with no chords to get tangled up in. This has been making long road trips
so much easier. We have been using it regularly for the past six months and we
are happy to say it has been trouble free.

Normally I don't write to "thank" a merchant for a product I purchased
but this time I must make an exception. The DV-Grip made the 8 hour each way
trip to the coast of Delaware FINALLY a pleasant experience rather than one we
anticipated with much anxiety each year.
I struggled for years with a suspension platform bag that I bought
from Best Buy that was supposed to "hang between the front car seats via
convenient adjustable straps." To this day I still can't figure out how
to work it (I can forward the directions I still have if you want to try). The
one time that we were able to precariously "hang" it between the seats,
my wife was unable to unfasten it to get in the back to retrieve a wayward sippy
cup. It was a disaster.
Your product made life so much simpler for us. The snap in clips
are easy to put on and take off yet sturdy as a rock. We found it easiest to
actually snap the DV-Grip in and out for changing the movies. This required minimal
effort and by the end of the trip my wife could slip it on and off the headrests
without even looking. This was extremely beneficial as she was not "held
prisoner" by our DVD player and could get to the back of the car quickly
when needed. Sorry to ramble but we were very pleased with your product. First
trip in our 6 years of parenting where there were no tears. (theirs or ours).

I want to let you know that I have received the DV-Grip yesterday…
I set it up in my Odyssey last evening and am very happy with my purchase. This
is definitely much simpler & faster to set up than the portable DVD bags
I have tried (that hangs between the 2 front seats) and subsequently returned.

Hi Ed,
Just got back from the beach. The DV-Grip IR worked out great. We followed another
family down and the kids fought over who got to ride in our car with the DVD
set up. It was definitely one of the quietest trips we've taken to the beach. I
was surprised on how easy it was to set up and take down. Nice Job!!!

…I recently bought this product called a DV-Grip made by
a guy named Ed Spellman in Ohio. The quality of the holder seems to be very good. I
was on vacation last week and we spent quite a bit of time in our 2004 EX-L using
the holder and I could not be happier with it. It held our portable player securely
and could be installed and/or removed in about 5 seconds unlike some of the other
systems I have used. It holds the DVD player at the perfect height for anybody
in either the second or third row to see it and even allowed my son to use the
remote control from his seat in the middle of row three… (the cost) might
sound a little steep compared to some of the carrying cases out there with strap
systems to hold them in place, but having used both I can say that it is worth
every penny…

I am not a proponent of plopping the kids in front of a video
screen for hours on end, but long drives can be pretty boring, especially for
children. Letting the kids take a break to watch a video goes a long way in helping
to keep the peace and harmony of the trip. Your product has made it so easy to
mount our portable DVD player. Plus, I truly appreciate how easy the DVD player
is to remove for out of sight storage when we make rest stops—I don't have to
worry about coming out to a smashed window. We love it!

The DV-Grip made our 10 hour drive seem like just 2 or 3, with
kids absorbed in their movies, instead of nagging and picking at one another. Installation
and set-up was a snap, and it also didn't affect my rear-view mirror visibility. An
absolute must for any long trip with the kids.

The DV-Grip is great! Especially for long car trips. It makes it so much easier
than having to have a small TV in the car. When my mom used to turn or slam
on the brakes, it would go flying around the car. Now that we have the DV-Grip,
it makes entertainment on long car trips much easier. The DV-Grip is so easy
to use, everyone should have one!
