The 3-way DC Power Splitter can be used to power the DV-Grip IR in vehicles that only have one front DC power jack (cigarette lighter jack). One jack can be used to power the portable DVD player (via player's DC power adapter), the other jack can be used to power the DV-Grip IR transmitter (via the DC power adapter that comes with the DV-Grip IR) while the third jack is available to power other devices, e.g., cell phone, electric shaver, computer, radar detector, etc.
